I'm Leila. I was born in Madrid (Spain), in 1981.

Self-taught and multidisciplinary artist.

From a very early age I discovered that I felt a strong attraction to creating. That interest in creative and artistic processes led me to train in photography, where I began to show my first works and creations.

"Create because I am creation."

The restlessness, and why not say it, the need to discover new forms of expression and creation, led me over time to explore other artistic areas. Thus, and in a self-taught way, I started in disciplines such as sculpture, drawing and painting.

Influenced by post-impressionist currents, and by their figures, with a clearly subjective vision of the world and the human being, in my paintings I intentionally free myself to explore the expression of feelings and emotions, through forms that escape realism. conventional in terms of human figures and sometimes combining it with more realistic representations of animals.

In my works I show a kind and intimate connection with the natural world, as a constant link with the primal being, from where I try to delve into the meaning of existence, of life, and reflect on the evolution of the human being.

The perception of a permanent existential imbalance in men, where nature is the only one that sustains everything, which is open to adaptation and understands change, continuous transformation, the ability to be reborn. The human being as a natural being, possesses the same capacity as nature itself, and sometimes ignores it completely.

In this ignorance of our own natural capacity, my work seeks to inspire, simplify and help understand what really moves the heart of human beings, and what makes us who we are.
